1. Information We Collect (And What We Don't)

Because WaffleFactor uses a drop-in system, we collect the absolute minimum amount of information required to make the game function and to support your custom gameplay.

• No Accounts Required: You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or set a password to play.
• Temporary Game Data: When you join a game, you provide a Room Code and a temporary Nickname. This data is only used to connect you to the current game session and display your name on the screen to other players.
• User-Generated Content (Custom Decks): If you choose to create Custom Decks, we collect and store the deck titles and the words you input so they can be synced when you host a multiplayer game. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your custom cards.
• Anonymous Device Identifiers: To allow you to create and manage Custom Decks without an account, we generate a random, anonymous identifier tied to your device. This identifier is used strictly to link your device to the decks you create and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.
• No Tracking: We do not use invasive tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or analytics software to monitor your behavior across other apps or websites.

2. How We Process Your Data

WaffleFactor is built using Supabase to provide real-time gameplay (syncing the words from the controllers to the main screen) and to store custom content.

• Real-Time Syncing:Your temporary Nickname and any “Sabotage Words” you submit are processed in real-time to facilitate the game.
• Session Data Retention: Once the game session ends or the host closes the room, your temporary session data is discarded. We do not maintain a permanent database of players or game histories.
• Custom Deck Storage & Deletion:Unlike temporary game session data, Custom Decks and your anonymous device identifier are stored persistently in our database so you can access them for future games. Because these decks are tied anonymously to your device, you must delete your decks from within the app's deck management screen to remove them from our servers. If you uninstall the app without deleting your decks first, the anonymous link will be lost, and the decks will remain on our servers as orphaned, anonymous data.

3. In-App Purchases

If you purchase the WaffleFactor App via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, your payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google.

• No Financial Data: We do not collect, process, or have access to your credit card information, billing address, or payment details.

4. Children's Privacy

WaffleFactor is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because our game operates without user accounts and only utilises temporary session data or anonymous device IDs, there is no persistent personal profile data to delete. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information (such as typing it into a Custom Deck), please contact us, and we will ensure any relevant data is cleared.

5. Changes to This Policy

As WaffleFactor grows, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features. If we make significant changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
